The Deputy Minister for Manpower Planning and Human Resource Development at the Ministry of Labor, Phil Tarpeh Dixon, has called on partisans of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) to remain focused and not to lose faith in the government as it makes strides to deliver its promises.
Dixon observed that the government of President George Manneh Weah is on a daily basis working out modalities to ensure that the livelihood of Liberians is transformed through the provision of basic social services as well as the improvement of the nation’s economy.
The Deputy Labor Minister made the comments in the Township of West Point, Monrovia over the weekend at a retreat of the Revolutionary Youth League of Electoral District #7.
Dixon commended those who, according to him, struggled over the years to ensure that the CDC assumed state power.
He termed the Pro-Poor Agenda for Prosperity and Development (PAPD) as being the best policy ever carved by any Liberian government since the founding of the nation.
He said the PAPD seeks to empower ordinary Liberians, especially young people, who make up more than 60 percent of the Liberia’s population.
Speaking on development efforts being made by the Weah-led government, Dixon said the administration is prepared to pave roads throughout the country, referencing road construction efforts currently being made in Southeastern Liberia as well as the ongoing construction of over 200 housing units in Grand Kru County.
Dixon added that President Weah is lobbying globally to raise financial resources from international partners and friendly governments so as to enhance the nation’s development programs.
