PLP Gets More Political Stimulus -Ten Representative Aspirants Join

Amid the attending euphoria leading to the holding of Liberia’s next presidential and legislative elections, the People’s Liberation Party (PLP) of Dr. Daniel E. Cassell is wooing some of the country’s key political actors to its ranks in the bid to unseat President George Weah.

On the weekend of February 25, 2022, the PLP received and endorsed ten (10) new members from across Liberia to vie for representative seats in the ensuing 2023 Presidential and legislative elections.

Those who joined the People’s Liberation Party and were endorsed include Stephen Jayaeh Toomey, Grand Bassa County District #1; Bob K. Beah, District #1 Rivercess; Singbeh B. Siacko, Bong County District #6; Teeny G. Torplieu, Nimba District #9; Moses Teah, River Gee County District #3; Atty. Augustine Tebleh,  Grand Kru County District #2; Wilmot Cheme, River Gee County District #1; Pyne  Wallo, Grand Gedeh County District #2; Ma-Nyannay  Clinton, Bong County District #5  and Charles Bestman of Grand Cape Mount County District #1.

During their endorsement ceremony held at the PLP headquarters in Congo Town, Monrovia, the Standard Bearer of the Liberia’s Liberation Party, Dr. Cassell said the decision of the ten individuals should mark a defining     moment in the political history of the party. “This is a serious commitment. This is very significant. I urge you to remember this day and what motivated you to fight for this cause. Remember that this is a good cause,” Dr. Cassell emphasized.

He expressed the hope that the presence of the members of the party would provide additional energy to the overarching vision to emancipate the Liberian people from their current state of destitution adding that the new entrants should keep their breath to the mission and vision of PLP.

Mr. Cassell also entreated all his partisans to exercise patience and work tirelessly to Liberate the country from the many challenges it is facing.

“If you run away from one conflict, you will always run away from the rest and there will be a time you will no more run”, PLP standard bearer asserted.

In special remarks,   Kyne Wallo of Grand Gedeh County said they are committed to promoting the   party, its  Standard Bearer and  policies  wherever they go.

Kyne, however, asked for the support party’s top officials as they are preparing to go through the difficulties and bring victory at the 2023 polls.

Also speaking, Bob K. Beah of Rivercess County added that they are prepared and ready to work to win their posts and make their way to the House of Representatives.

At the same time, an official of the party, Louise Sesay, the head of a group called, “Touch One Touch All” announced that he would recruit 350 new female partisans from Bong County to the party.

“We are telling you today that we are for you and throughout your presidential struggle” Louise Sesay assured the People’s Liberation Party Political Leader Dr. Daniel E. Cassell.
