Liberia’s first female Vice President Chief Dr. Jewel Howard-Taylor has received a six-member business delegation of the South Africa-based TS Cibane Consulting (CC) that paid a courtesy call at her Capitol Hill office in Monrovia.

VP Howard-Taylor expressed government’s commitment to partnering with investors representing their various countries in Liberia with a view to foster stronger ties based on mutual respect.

She drew the attention of the delegation to consider investing in the agriculture and tourism sectors of Liberia.

She opined that the two areas are crucial to the economic development of the country and its citizenry.

The Liberian Vice President also stressed the need for manufacturing companies in the country with the aim of seeking partnerships with potential Liberian businesses.

Speaking earlier, the Chief Executive Officer and President of TS Cibane Consulting, Madam Tholie Sebenzie, introduced her delegation, disclosing that they are in the country to explore areas for potential investments.

Madam Sebenzie told the meeting that her company is involved in building on relationships with the provincial and local government municipalities and officials, NGOs and civic organizations, and provides a strategy for partnering with potential stakeholders to maintain these relations.

TS Cibane Consulting was formed in January 2009 with the principal objective of addressing the gap in the mining and petroleum production licensing and compliance in South Africa, especially the inclusion and sustainable participation of the historically disadvantaged black communities.

In a related development, the Liberian Vice President has received in audience a Nigerian Apostle, Ayokunie Popola, at her Capitol Building office.

Apostle Popola, in a brief discussion with VP Howard-Taylor, said he and his two-man delegation were in the country on an assessment visit to explore investment opportunities in the areas of health, mining and education.
