VP Howard Taylor To Address First Ever She4She Champions Event in Belize

The event which is being organised by Her Worship Madame Mayor Sheran Palacio of the Belmopan City Council, with the theme: “Towards Inclusive Leadership In Governance & Political Affairs” “will be taking place from the March 4th to 6th, 2022, at the Best Western Belize Biltmore Plaza, Belize City.

Upon her arrival in the Carribean City, the Liberian Vice President told journalists that she holds strongly that women are as capable as men. “The first message is that women are as capable as men. But we have to work to do the things we set our hearts on to do. The desires of our hearts can be met by commitment and hard work. If we work together, all things are possible,” she stressed.

She pointed that the visit to Belize presents a unique opportunity to connect with new opportunities and make new friends.

The Liberian first female Vice President indicated that she would use the time in Belize City to seek economic cooperation with the Belizean Government, exploring opportunities to enhance Liberia’s Tourism Industry.

She noted that Tourism Industry is regarded as the most extensive and fastest-growing sector globally and a key driver for socio-economic development.

She informed that Liberia is located on the West Coast of the African continent, topographically known for its untapped ecosystem heavens and biodiversity hotspots.

“It possesses the most significant remaining rainforest on the African continent with approximately 42% of the Upper Guinea Rainforest with about 350km coastline, and perhaps the friendliest weather throughout the year,” The Liberian Vice President noted.

She then applauded Belize for its investment in Tourism which generates about USD 604.4 million annually, accounting for about 44.7% of GDP, and has created more than 21,000 jobs for Belizeans.
